USDA-EDS Academic Award
The USDA-EDS academic award is aimed at supporting the next-generation workforce development in data science including Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) applications in the nature resources field. Data science is a multi-disciplinary field that combines data analysis with data processing methods and domain expertise, transforming data into understandable and actionable knowledge relevant to informed decision-making.
Eligibility: Incoming or enrolled Auburn University undergraduate students (US citizens) in the Geospatial and Environmental Informatics degree program with GPA > 2.5 or demonstrated potential.
Benefits: $5,000 annual scholarship, and experiential learning opportunities in data science research, and communication.
